Terms of Service
Last updated: 26 May 2026
By installing or using PokéBinder ("the app") you agree to these terms. The app is provided as-is for personal hobby use — cataloguing Pokémon Trading Card Game cards alongside your kid. If you don't agree with anything below, please don't use the app.
1. What the app does
PokéBinder helps you photograph and organize physical Pokémon TCG cards. It can identify cards using on-device AI (free) or cloud-powered Smart Scan (paid subscription). The card data it shows is for casual reference, not professional grading or authentication, and any displayed value range is an estimate — never a quote.
2. Subscriptions
Plans
- PokéBinder Pro Monthly — US$2.99 / month, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
- PokéBinder Pro Yearly — US$19.99 / year (best value).
Prices in your local currency are shown on the in-app subscription screen and may vary by App Store region.
How billing works
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the displayed price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage and cancel your subscription in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device, or from the in-app Settings → Manage Subscription button.
- If you cancel during a free trial, you won't be charged. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Refunds, when granted, are handled by Apple per Apple's standard policies.
What Pro unlocks
An active Pro subscription enables unlimited cloud-powered Smart Scan (full structured extraction including set, rarity, language, and printed flavor text). The free tier remains fully functional — you can keep using on-device Smart Scan, the binder, the Pokédex, and every other feature without paying.
3. Free trial cloud scans
New installs receive 3 free cloud Smart Scans before the paywall appears. These are a courtesy and may change in future updates. The free on-device Smart Scan path is always available regardless.
4. Acceptable use
- Don't try to reverse-engineer, decompile, or bypass the subscription gate.
- Don't use the app to scan or store cards that aren't yours unless you have permission.
- Don't scan inappropriate content — the cloud scan service is for Pokémon TCG cards only.
5. Disclaimers
The app provides best-effort card identification and reference data. It is not a professional grading service. Authenticity hints and condition guesses are visual approximations from a photo and should never be the sole basis for buying, selling, or valuing a card.
6. Third-party trademarks
Pokémon and Pokémon character names are trademarks of Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, and Game Freak. PokéBinder is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or specifically approved by any of those companies.
7. Liability
The app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the app changes meaningfully. The updated terms will be posted at this URL with a revised date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
9. Privacy
Our handling of data is described separately in the Privacy Policy.
10. Contact
