Built for kids and their cards

Everything a young collector needs

PokéBinder is the binder app I wished I had when my son started collecting. Scan a card, get the full Pokédex entry, see the kid-friendly story, and watch the collection grow.

📸

Smart Scan

Point your camera at a card and PokéBinder reads the name, set, rarity, and language automatically. On-device AI does the heavy lifting.

🌍

Multilingual

Handles English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Japanese cards. Translates printed names to their canonical English form.

Kid's note

Every card gets a kid-friendly explanation: what kind of Pokémon it is, its types, evolution chain, and the flavor lore printed on the card itself.

📚

Stacks & favorites

Duplicates stack automatically. Mark favorites with one tap. Filter by Pokémon, set, rarity, or "I had this" memory cards.

🔍

Card facts

Pulls HP, attacks, weaknesses, retreat cost, and artist credit from the official TCG database — for the cards that have them.

🛡️

Authenticity hints

Spots souvenir/fun cards so you and your kid can talk about real-vs-not without judgement.

Questions you might have

FAQ

Does the free version really work?
Yes. The on-device Smart Scan uses Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro and newer) plus the iOS Vision framework to read the card. It's less accurate than the cloud scan for tricky non-English cards, but it identifies most cards just fine — and it's completely free, forever.
Do you store my photos?
No. Card photos live on your device in PokéBinder's own storage. When you use cloud Smart Scan, the photo goes over an encrypted connection to our scan service and then to OpenAI's vision model — the photo is not retained on our servers and is not used for AI training.
Do I need an account?
No account, no sign-up, no email required. Your binder is private to your device.
Why iOS 26?
The on-device AI relies on Apple's Foundation Models framework, which shipped in iOS 26. That's what makes the free tier work without a server.
Is this an official Pokémon app?
No. PokéBinder is an independent project. Pokémon and Pokémon character names are trademarks of Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, and Game Freak. We're not affiliated with them.
